Walmart Auto Care Centers

Where to start? I went in for a basic oil change. I was the first person there. They open at 7 but didn't open up til 715. I was worried about going to Walmart but thought, its just an oil change, what could go wrong? Well, the tech, who happened to be the SERVICE MANAGER, his name is Ben, tried to put the wrong size oil filter in my car. It would not fit. When he failed at forcing it into place, he proceeded to take a pair of pliers and try to alter the filter to make it fit. Yes I watched this with my own eyes and the only reason it didn't happen is because I caught him and made him go get a filter off of the shelf and verified that it was the correct filter. First problem averted. My car calls for 5w 30. Says it in the manual and CLEARLY says it on the oil cap. Can't mess that up right? Wrong. The service manager puts 5w 20 in. May not really be a big difference but you should put in what the specs call for so I said it needed to be corrected. No big deal right? Just drain it a

Though the staff was busy and short staffed with help, they were still very friendly and understanding. Expect quite a wait time or call ahead. The waiting room is small and will be packed.

Got in car in for a new battery. Took less than an hour at 3pm.
