Explain how my wife pays 3k to fix a transmission issue THEY diagnosed only to come back less than 10k miles later to be told you need a to pay 7k to rebuild your transmission and your warranty isn’t valid on SOMETHNG THEY MISDIAGNOSED. Do yourself a favor and take your car to the dealer where they stand behind their work and diagnostics and actually stand behind their warranty. I need to hear from the owner. As a former auto repair shop manager, the customer shouldn’t be responsible for an initial misdiagnosis. Especially when you pay 3k to be told “pay 850 to check it out and we’ll out that into the 7k” .. shops elsewhere Imagine paying this to be told “oh that part fine (in the transmission) but the transmission bad” when communication should have been clearer and told we’d still need a transmission (confirmed by 2. Chrysler certified technicians). UPDATE should I show the emails where you’ve blatantly lied to corporate about the car being there a year ago when it was clearly there
I only went there because my mechanic referred me to this close shop. Jason was friendly but after he had my van diagnosed I knew something was not right. I did a fair amount of research online and decided to take it to another shop..not a AMACO one. I have a close friend who owns a few franchises and he had taken his vehicles when they needed transmission to another location an independent, and so that's what I did. I come to find out that what I was told originally was not correct. My trans is now taken care of and is sound did not need to be replaced. Unfortunately a friend of mine also took her SUV to a Amoco dealer and she was told she needed a new transmission ...was that true? One needs to do research on transmission repairs.
Thank you so much Jason for your service and expertise on my 2015 Jeep Cherokee. I had my engine light checked at Advance Auto Service, got the codes, new it had to do with a connection concerning the transmission which had me worried since my car stalled in the middle of the road out of nowhere. Went to Advantage Auto Service where I had recently got my spark plugs and more replaced, gave them the codes, they sent me to this Aamco just 1 minute down the road. I was greeted by Jason before they even opened. I told him what I knew and he let me know it would take at least 48hrs to get my FREE diagnostics since people dropped their vehicles off before me. It look less than 48hrs and he came back with the results. It was way more expensive than I thought but I basically had to replace my transmission. He did not pressure me to have the work done and he was detailed in his explanation. I picked up my car the next day and there were no hard feelings. Thank you so much for the work you do an
