Just moved to Dunedin and needed to get my brakes checked, tire pressure checked and fluids topped off. I found this shop on google and called the day of and my car was able to be seen same day. They were in contact with me within a few hours, very kind and great customer service. I don’t know anything about cars, but they were very informative and I didn't feel taken advantage of at all. Main Street Automotive Service is awesome! Thank you for getting me back on the road again Phil, Bobby and Eric. My clutch pedal had stopped working, and from the moment I called, I was treated with respect and professionalism. I figured there'd be list of cars ahead of mine...instead Eric offered me to get my car over immediately, that he and the team would check it out, and get back to me asap. When I got there I was greeted by Eric, Phil, and the shop dog named Bolt. These gentlemen were really cool about the situation, so I felt better about the circumstances of having my only vehicle break down. Bobby called me within a couple hours, which was impressive. He kept me updated about the diagnosis, repairs, and was forthright about financials, which was much appreciated. I explained to them, that day I had to work at 5pm, and they were mindful of my schedule. My experience here was less than satisfactory. I would never recommend anyone to go here unless you have time to wait a week for your car to be repaired and you enjoy dealing with a complete jerk. The main point of writing this is that when I got my car back and was doing Cv boot replacement a month later I noticed the nut had been removed off of the bolt from my steering linkage. The bolt showed fresh threads and fresh scratch . So it appears they sabotaged my vehicle, I could of been killed or best yet I could of killed a whole family along with myself . When I I went back to confront the owner of course he denied it and let me tell you my car is an eye sore but this does does matter or give someone the right to jeopardize my life or anyone else's. So think twice before you bring your car here .
