Its so damn hard to find a fair and honest mechanic, but I've done it at Simon and Sons. I have an older ('04) Tahoe with 150k miles on it. I don't make a lot of money and I drive 30 miles each way to work, SO I need this car to be reliable and I plan on driving it until it dissolves completely. Simon and Sons has done all the repairs on it since I got it about 35k miles ago. When I had problems or check engine came on, they checked it out for nothing and then called with estimates before working on it. Their rates were always reasonable if not lower than the competition. Their prices for parts is comparable to anywhere else and their labor costs have been better than anywhere else I've found. Their turnaround times are faster than anywhere else I've found as well and they have always been able to get me in immediately.
