Went in for my normal oil change and tire rotation and had them look at a whining nose. Was told it was a bearing in the alternator. They ordered me a new one and replaced it and had me on my way quick as a flash. I've been coming here awhile and he had 0 issues with price or service. I noticed my credit card recept was more that the repair bill receipt. When I asked why, was told if I paid with a credit card, a "convenience fee" is added to pay their credit card fee. Who carries $500+ cash to pay for things? Should have been told this up front. Most stores do not just unexpectedly add on a credit card fee. This very much irritated and inconvenienced me, to then have to go to the bank and come back with cash to avoid the 3.2% up charge. The electrical work they did fixed the problem, but they didn't explain exactly what they did (I didn't press it), and no details were on the bill except trouble shoot, find, and fix the problem. I told my sister to get an estimate and I would help pay for her to get her car fixed. I have worked in one maintenance field or another for the past 15 years and did not want to leave work to go back to work and fix it myself. After this estimate I will never use this mechanics shop again. They were only supposed to do a 50 point inspection and not do any actual work on the vehicle. They recharged they AC and charged us over 400$ to do it. Then after hours they finally gave us the bill. They charged extra for the supposed free inspection. They wanted to charge 250$ for a 40$ windshield wiper motor and 430$ for a 27$ wiper motor linkage. That didn't even include labor. Just to put those two parts in another 200$. This is place is an absolute scam. Don't even bring your car in. They will find some way to charge you. They will scam you out of your rent. I will personally be telling all my friends and coworkers about this. Where did all the honest people go?
