AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

After receiving a very high quote from another repair location, the AAMCO in Cheyenne towed my vehicle to their shop (complimentary), suggested a much more reasonable price, and completed the work with fidelity. The best part was that I was from out of town and ended up having to leave Cheyenne and my car for almost a month. AAMCO kept me informed throughout the entire repair process. Paid for a new transmission—vehicle would no longer start after the third attempt at getting the transmission up to snuff. Didn’t have that issue before, as the car was starting fine right up until that third effort. The tech reported some kind of massive fluid leak as they pulled the vehicle out their bay the last time it started. They couldn’t diagnose the new starting problem, but AAMCO charged me for a new battery anyway. We took it to our local Nissan who donated (for free!) 4.5 hours after hearing about our experience at AAMCO to determine that the engine was ruined somewhere in the midst of all these transmission replacement issues. Trusting this business was a costly mistake to the tune of $8,000. Randy was too optimistic in his promise to get my vehicle to 250,000 miles. I took my car in last minute with having a multitude of engine issues, they booked me immediately and repaired my car in a matter of hours. This was a few weeks ago and my car is running just as smooth as off the lot. The employees there were super supportive giving multiple different options regarding repair and cost option.
