Although I did not end up requiring their services, they were very forthcoming and willing to help me out when I was in the market for a used car, I wanted a private inspection done before I purchased the car. Pat explained everything that they would do as well as pricing, which was newly $80 cheaper than a few other places that I had called that didnt have openings through the weekend. Pat was super helpful and I wish I could have given him my business, but I will go here if I find another car in the future for private inspection or other needs.

Late in the afternoon on Saturday I started hearing a loud noise under my Escalade. There are few shops open on a Saturday. I gave this shop a call at 3 pm and Jay said to bring it by and they would take a look. They inspected my SUV and found the lower control arm on the front passenger wheel was missing it's locknut, had backed out, and the only thing keeping it from falling off was the CV axle it was hitting, resulting in the noise I heard ( see attached photo). Pretty dangerous situation...I could have lost the wheel on the road! Additionally they found that the other 3 control arm bolts were loose and they tightened them. I had new tires put on my SUV about 3 months ago and an alignment - wondering if tire shop loosened these during alignment and forgot to tighten. Regardless, a dangerous situation identified and fixed by crew at Mad Mechanics. The owner, Jay, was great to work with and took the time to explain the situation. Decided to try this company for my diesel rigs as I have many, I’m assuming based on the reviews other mechanics are on top of it! However, if you’re dealing with Mike in the diesel department who seems to be inconvenienced that he has to work on rigs or maybe he feels he is irreplaceable not sure what it is. He seems to just throw your truck back together and hope for the best because we made the mistake of taking it twice and lost big. He doesn’t recommend anything or inspect anything further than what you take it in for. Why not Inspect a vehicle while you have it apart? I know so you can keep coming back to him and charge you labor for tear down. Service: Engine repair
