I’m done with JP’s. I took my cars to JP‘s for years even though they were a bit further away than many other mechanics. A few years ago I stopped going to them when they did not put oil in my car after performing an oil change. Now my son is taking my older car through hot Arizona and I am concerned about the timing belt and wanted to have some preventative maintenance performed. I made an appointment and asked JP‘s to check the condition of the timing belt and replace it if necessary, and to diagnose a trouble light. I can do that work myself, but I just didn’t have time. They called me and told me it needed almost $900 worth of work to fix an oxygen sensor, replace my front brake pads and rotors, and to replace the fan belt. They didn’t even attempt to look at the timing belt. They then told me it would take an additional $800 to look at and $1100 to replace. That was the main reason why I took my car in there in the first place, and they didn’t even look at it or tell me the situat
