Overview: Wouldn't recommend, very poor diagnosis and communication. Unnecessarily long time from vehicle drop off to repaired. Cost probably average. Got the work done in the end. Full: Before I went to this place I had a failure on a coolant system component and replaced it myself, but the engine overheated again after my work so I knew there was another problem. Figured I would be better off having a professional diagnose and repair the system, wow was I wrong choosing this place. This is not the place to go if you want to work face to face with a mechanic that you can communicate with. You cannot speak with your mechanic. After leaving the vehicle at the shop for 2 days, their diagnosis was "it's fine". They charged me $135 for their efforts and my vehicle overheated 20 minutes after driving off the lot. Overheating engines aren't an uncommon issue and they displayed clear lack of effort in diagnosing this failure on my vehicle. Called them and they emphasized that they had

I had a terrible experience with Byrd Automotive Repair. They were unprofessional and lacked the necessary expertise. They took forever to complete the repairs and didn't fix the problem correctly. Find a more reliable auto repair shop.

Byrd has outstanding customer service! They not only gave me a ride home after I dropped my vehicle off, but were able to give me a ride back to the shop after my vehicle was finished. After I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was pleasantly surprised to see it had been washed. This is the type of service that creates repeat customers! It’s pretty easy to see why they have been in business for so long.
