Left my 409 crank to be turned . He told me it would be ready in two weeks . I told him I wasn’t in a huge hurry and two weeks would be fine . I picked up my crank today ( three months later ) and it still isn’t done . Each time I called to check on it he would promise me he’d have it ready the following week . Unless you’re spending mega-bucks , his service time sucks .

I’ve had some bad experiences with machine shops. I have a 351 Cleveland that I spent a whole lot of money to have built by another shop in town. It has been a disaster. I’ve checked around and read the reviews and visited the shop. I’m taking the engine to Houston Engine and Balance. I’m putting faith in Jeff to finally get this engine right. The engine said in my garage after I had it built for two years while we were getting the car ready it was going in. When we put the engine in and it would not perform even at idle speed I contacted the other shop and because of the time frame they wouldn’t even look at it. I need help and I’m putting my faith in this shop to resolve the issue this engine has.

Took my engine there December 5, it's now mid July and 7 months later, mid July I'm still waiting. Was told it would be done by end of March's 4 months after I was told it would be done, it's not. I know they do great work and that's why I went there, but if you need your stuff done in timely matter I don't recommend this place, Service: Motor building
