Took my 2015 Jeep Wrangler JKU to baldys with a blown engine and thinking everything was lost. Jeff took amazing care of me and set up the perfect care for my girl and got her up and running. 2 weeks out and still no issues. Highly recommend Darby, Trey, Jeff, and all the A+ technicians at Baldys Jeep shop
I paid Baldy’s approx $10K to install a lift, regear, driveshafts, and do an alignment. They installed the wrong size ring gear bolt. I drive from Austin, TX to Moab UT, and was one mile on my first trail when the bolt backed out, chewed up the gears and blew 4 holes in the axle housing. There was some very confusing communication leading to misunderstanding of what they were willing to do to compensate us. I asked for $500 to compensate us for the thousands of $ lost on our trip, and a credit for the original gearing to be applied towards an upgrade. They were only willing to give us the credit for the hearing etc. and act like that was going out of their way for us. I was told that if I complained publicly, the shop owners wife would start a campaign of online bullying with some of their friends. That is exactly how I would characterize what happened. The most bizarre part is the fact that Trey posted an online accusation of extortion the day after we paid him another $4,700 for an
I guess they are specialized for Jeep. But their work itself, I'm questioning it. I left my car about a year ago. they told me I have to rebuild my engine. so I did but now after 10 month or so... my engine's water pump got cracked. turns out they used aftermarket product and it got cracked. You could say it's not shop's problem but, they did not inform me that they are going to use aftermarket product. that one issue, and way they handle their issue is second. so, it's great they have some more experience than others about jeep. but work ethics and their way of follow up. not so sure... So, you think about it and make a minds.
