I had been having issues with my car for the past month which I couldn’t figure out. At first it was just some minor issues with the brakes getting stuck, but then they became more severe so I decided to get my car inspected. My car had started to jolt and jerk whenever I pressed the brake pedal, and it would pulse back at me and get stuck as I tried to push it. After visiting 7 different shops who told me they couldn’t fit me in for the next two weeks, I finally came across Meineke in Rock Hill, South Carolina. They worked me in within one day, and fully inspected my vehicle on a Saturday. I am a college student who lives two hours away from home, and had no auto shops available to fix my car at the time. While working Saturday, the manager William and one of his colleagues were able to figure out exactly what was wrong with my vehicle and begin working on it. I specifically asked both the manager “will” and his assistant “aaron” to put the key under the driver side Matt and lock the doors bc i would pick up after work when they are closed. When i showed up the vehicle was left unlocked and the key was placed on the center console in plain sight for someone to steal. I when i called and asked who put keys in vehicle aaron stated he did, when i asked why he left it unlocked with keys in plain sight he stated he was in a hurry. When pressed he stated he doesn’t like to lock ppls keys in their cars. I said but i have a second set he stated he had no way of knowing that. When i reminded him that i told him and Will specifically to leave key in vehicle under Matt and LOCK doors he got even more defensive and rude. Not to mention they called me multiple times at work to try and up sell me an additional service for over $800 that i had previously declined. After having two other mechanics review vehicle it was determined that additional service was
