Ken with Tigard Transmission is as honest and trustworthy as they come. I came to him with a challenging problem with my 2017 Silverado 3500 that I attempted to replace the transfer case myself and ran into computer issues at the end. He listened to my story, took it to heart and found the problem the same day, fixed it and charged me a fraction of what I expected. He earned a customer for life. I have a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer with close to 200K miles that had both failing transmission and 4 wheel drive. I was struggling on whether to fix and repair the vehicle or sell it. Ken and his wife and the mechanics worked with me on my best options. The communication was timely, fair and honest. The vehicle runs great. If you’re having transmission related issues or just need a second opinion, I highly suggest giving them a call. They were fair, transparent, and extremely helpful in my recent experience with them. Full Story: I brought my car (2012 Kia Forte) into a Kia Dealership about 10 days ago to get a safety recall for the airbags taken care of. My car had also been experiencing a weird acceleration / loss of power issue that had been progressively getting worse over the past few months - so I asked Kia to run a basic diagnostic as well (which cost $150). They said it might take a day or two so they supplied me with a 2-day rental car (which cost another $100). The next day, I received an email with Kia’s diagnostic report which concluded that the transmission was bad and needed to be replaced ($2,700), along with a laundry list of other minor issues which resulted in a grand total of $4,400 worth o
