Fair Repair Auto Care

Nothing fair about this auto repair. Went in for a diagnosis - They do work without providing an estimate or calling you for permission on repairs. $230 diagnostic fee; when questioned after the fact, they say it’s posted in the lobby… only descriptions here no pricing. $200 an hour labor cost with a double priced part. Long story short, needed an ignition coil replaced and got a call back a day later saying my car is ready, along with a $560 (unquoted) bill. This repair is a 30 minute DIY job tops with a $100 OEM part. If you need more proof - read some of the other lower reviews and look at the way this guy responds red flag ???? ???? unprofessional, over priced and rude staff.

Let me start by saying I prefer small businesses because they tend to care more than big business chains, in my experience. I found this place in Google. Looked at the reviews and decided to give it a shot. I’m so glad I did. The issues were the brakes, gotta have those. The entire process spanned a few weeks (cuz funds were tight) but the staff here were absolutely amazing. From my first visit, when Howard drove me home and picked me back up cuz he heard me mention paying for a Lyft. To my last visit, when Howard went above and beyond to ensure my vehicle was ready for a road trip that was EXTREMELY important to me. I’ve had a lot of cars and I’ve been to a lot of auto repair shops over the years, but never have I felt like I mattered as much as I did here. The pricing was more than fair. The service was amazing and extremely thorough. I will definitely be back (not for a good long while though). Thank you to every one at Fair Repair Auto Care for making me feel valued! Y’all are the

After taking my vehicle into this location I would not go back. I spent $600 to get a vibration that was going on with my car fixed, and was told by the owner himself he was 90% certain it was fixed. He also said that he did not check one of the other components because he was certain that once he replace would fix the issue. He never even test drove it until I got there to pick up the car. So when we test drove it together we both agreed they were still a noticeable vibration. Their labor rates are very high, they did not call me so let me know how much it would be, nor did they call me to keep me updated. I had to initiate all phone calls myself. Even after talking with the owner on the phone he was rude and disrespectful and did not even apologize until after the phone call was nearly over. Service: General repairs & maintenance
