We’ve been using this place for smogs and oil changes for years and never had an issue. This week my wife took her car in for an oil change and they told her she needed new rear breaks ‘right away’. We took the car to our mechanic today and he showed us that the rear break pads are still between 5-6mm. This is still at 50% of original oem brake pad and Toyota doesn’t recommend changing the break pads until 3mm. I hope it’s a training issue and not them trying to make money by getting them to get unnecessary work. Edit: I love how you respond to my statement that I have ‘gone to your shop for years’, which is not the important point. You completely skipped the deceptive practice by your shop. You are correct, I haven’t driven this car much during the pandemic so it’s been a while since we got an oil change. To the important part, why did your tech try to give us services that were not needed? The lack of reply makes me think it was intentional.

The first place I've been to that can do an oil change and a smog in the same visit! In and out in 1 hr 15 min. You can get a meal at Kinder's or shop at Target down the street while you wait.
