Tom's Automotive

I am new to the area and had no mechanic that I was familiar with in Buena Park, but luckily discovered Tom's Automotive that is near to me. They gave me a free estimate when I arrived about 8:10 in the morning. My car was making a loud clicking noise, and had no idea what was causing it. It happened to be the "Harmonic Balancer," or commonly known as a Crankshaft Pulley. I had also gotten several other estimates to consider. I do not go by price alone, and asked Jessie at the counter questions about his mechanics, ordered the part, and had the car by noon. They gave me a price that was extremely fair. I couldn't believe it. It is rare in today's world, to meet people that are still honest and care about their customers the way they do. My hats off to you Jessie, and your crew. You just gained another new customer today. I am extremely satisfied and would highly recommend them to you. Thanks Al G. Al

I have taken my wife's car here several times and their prices are all ways reasonable; especially compared to dealer quotes. 2009 Hyundai Elantra touring.

Tom is a nice enough guy...but I was charged $300 for a problem that wasnt fixed. My compressor on the ac still does not cycle - even though they said replacing the thermistor (a $10 part that they charged 59.95 for) would solve the issue. It did not, compressor stays on nonstop still. I would pass on this place. update: Tom did reach out to me after I posted my comments and offered to walk me through the process and show me the gauges...so that is respectable. unfortunately - i moved away and am not able to come to his shop. But - if he is willing to do that, then there has to be something said for that.
