So I understand I drive an older truck, but every time I go to get a part, they always have to order it in, and it takes days. Go right down the street and the next parts store have it in stock every time.

I used Advanced Auto Parts a few times . my most recent visit was for a 5R55S transmission for my 08 mustang GT after my decided it needed a few extra neutrals and less gears. I paid for my transmission up front $2,200 or so later and I got a piece of paper and a date. I gave the cashier my phone number for the file and promptly left after all was in order. I was told between the 13th and the 20th of april the unit would be there. I called the 13th and still no luck. Called the 20th and i was informed my transmission has been there for a few days. Apparently , the did not put my number on file so they called my old number . No matter. I picked it up later on the 20th and they helped me load the new unit into my girls light duty jeep/fiat . 190# transmission weighed her down a bit. All be all , I have a new trans that i couldn't find anywhere. Decent folks though.
