When I brought my car in I explained that a particular fuse kept blowing and that I had it replaced multiple times prior, even disconnecting all third party accessories to narrow down the problem. Knowing that I already had the fuse replaced and that wasn't the problem, I expected more than the exact same temporary repair when they attempted to fix it. Sadly, they tried exactly what I explained had already been done twice before. I called them and left a message within one day of their repair failing and explained that the fuse blew once again. I left them a message and a mechanic tried to text me instead of calling the following day. The conversation was impossible to follow and unprofessional to begin with, who texts a customer instead of calling them?! When he finally did call he did not listen and continued to shut me down when I attempted to speak -- I felt very small to say the least. I paid $500+ for other repairs that I'm not even sure my car needed, and when I asked for a $60

I'm a shade tree mechanic who got into a jam after replacing the cylinder head on my beater-commuter Honda, I went in for a valve lash adjustment and they found a larger problem that I caused when doing my cylinder head replacement. They explained the situation extremely well to me, discussed the options, and let me know the probable consequences based on how I decided to proceed. They communicated every step of the way, and cleaned up my mess as best they could. I haven't gotten the car back yet but I'm sure I'll be happy with the repair based on what I've been told. You can't judge an auto-shop based on anything but the quality of service and communication, having worked on cars myself a little bit, there aren't always silver-bullet answers to every problem or question, sometimes it's just a risk vs reward analysis.
