Very disappointed... wife took my car (2011 Mercedes E-350) in for the Virginia state inspection and was told that a tiny tear (1/4 inch) on the very tip of both Bosch wiper blades purchased in Aug 2016 would fail the inspection unless replaced on the spot. No other part of either blade showed any sign of wear or tear. The inspector did not find anything else at all wrong with the car as I had replaced the brakes, tires, and wiper blades during the 75K maintenance in Aug 2016. When I showed the blades to the guy who inspected the car, he went right to the tip of each blade and pulled back on the rubber to tell me it would not pass inspection. When I questioned him about the lack of wear or tear anywhere else on either blade, he stated there was no way of him knowing when I purchased the blades, even though no other part of either blade is degraded at all and appear new and intact.
