My previous mechanic of over 35 years recently retired and closed his shop. I'm a dream customer for a repair shop. I keep 4 vehicles on the road for my family. I spend about $400 average per month in maintenance and repairs. I really wanted to like Coop's and make them my new repair shop, but I had some really disappointing experiences. After performing a state inspection on two of my vehicles without issue, they stopped accepting my appointments for "next day" inspections, and would only book for state inspections two weeks out. They performed an oil change and without disclosing beforehand - they used an additive and increased the price by $20. They tightened the oil drain plug so much I could not remove it with an impact gun. One of my cars needed a warranty repair and Coop's refused to do the work. I inquired why and was told I'd get a call back to explain, but I never got the call. I had to pay to get it towed to another shop. Bottom line - be careful dealing with this shop. You

Coops Auto Repair was fantastic. Dan was very professional and friendly as well the other staff. I decided to replace a motor and fix my exhaust on my vehicle. She's running beautifully.
