While on my way back to Corpus for work, I had an emergency tow north of Victoria due to a transmission issue on my truck. I was able to get to to Smith's around 2pm, and they got the truck on a lift in the middle of a very busy day. Being from out of town, they even let me set up my computer in the back to do a little work and were extremely hospitable the entire time. Jamie, and the guys in the shop, went above and beyond to make sure I got back on the road and to Corpus the same day (they stayed late to do so). Not only was the service top notch, but it was also the most transparent and affordable experience at a shop I've ever had. I cannot say enough good about this place and the people who work here!! Worst customer service. Owner cussed out my husband in front of me and my child, unprovoked. Threatened to void our warranty. They were supposed to rebuild the transmission but did not. They damaged our car and refused to fix the damage. We gave them a chance to fix their mistake but will never use them again nor recommend them to anyone. Service: Transmission

Hi, so my fiancée went to the mechanics shop to get the transmission fixed for her 2007 Ford Taurus. They completely ruined it: they said they fixed it once and we brought it back to the house and it ran worse than last time, they cut the exhaust to make room to take the transmission out (which is very unprofessional they should’ve taken the time to do it right), lost a few bolts, and didn’t seal the torque converter housing. so we brought it back again since it was under warranty. When we approached them about the issues we found, they yelled at us and made it worse in general. Now, it drops RPMs when you’re idling and there’s an oil leak. They have threaten to sue us for defamation of character and they were very unprofessional business. Never go to them. Ever. Service: Transmission
