Kwik Kar Oil Change & Auto Care

I seldomly write google reviews. But today my experience with the claimed “general manager, Jimmy” was unpleasant and alarming to say the least. I made my way into this seemingly underbooked Kwik Kar location within an hour of closing yesterday. I was told by the technician per a usual business practice that “I would be charged a diagnostic fee for a 1 hr thourough examination of my car in the amount of $89.99 and if I completed my service needed with them it would be waived” This is pretty standard and accepted by me. I came in and told them it was my starter, and within five-ish minutes they confirmed with me it was my starter and quoted me a well-above market value amount. I was immediately sketched out by the time it took and amount quoted so this morning I went to pick up my car to have got towed to a mechanic I feel more comfortable with.
