Slater's Auto Works

My experience with Slater’s has always been excellent. I have been coming to his shop since he first opened and have consistently received excellent service at a very fair price. In addition to their high-quality work, I especially appreciate their honesty. This is a trait that is hard to find with most car repair shops. Trust is a big thing with me, so I will not take my cars anywhere else for service.

My entire family has been bringing our vehicles here for over 15 years at least. We've NEVER had a complication or any kind of issue with them. I've lived all over the state of Texas and I trust this place so much that I have had my truck towed from Dallas to Atascocita just because I know 100% that they aren't going to try to pull anything shady on me and that they will get the job done right the first time.

I have used them a few times and was happy until now. The gas pedal on my sons car broke about 5-6 years ago and they fixed it for us. My daughter drives that car now and it broke while she was driving on the highway on Friday night and she could have had an accident. I had to pay $300 to tow it to the shop in Huntsville for it to get fixed (AGAIN!!) After further review, it was never fixed the first time but I sure was charged for it to be fixed. They rigged it with a zip tie that was undetectable with the eye because it was behind the pedal. Very frustrated with this shop and would not recommend them for anything. I had to give one star to post this but I would not give them a star. OK...SO IT WAS 7 YEARS.....IT WAS NOT EXPLAINED TO ME WITH A ZIP TIE...THAT IS TOTALLY UNSAFE AND I AM SURPRISED IT LASTED THAT LONG. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS FIXED AND THAT WAS IT. $44.00? I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT ONE BUT WHATEVER. MOTOR MOUNTS WERE ALL TAKEN CARE OF AT A FRACTION OF THE COST. THANK Y
