Zims Autotechnik

Short version: I have used Zims for 11 years, but I will never take my car there again. They diagnosed a problem and I paid for the repair, but when I took the car back because the problem was not fixed, they told me there was nothing to worry about. They damaged my car while it was there and would not take responsibility. Complete Story: I have been using Zims since 2008 and if I would have written a couple of years ago, I would have also given five stars, but times change. I recently had my BMW in to diagnose smoke coming from my exhaust on startup. They had trouble finding the cause but finally told me it was the PCV valve, and that the hose to the air filter had broken, and asked if I wanted to change the ignition coils and plugs. They had just been changed 35,000 miles before. I declined. They called and said that the coils were bad, so I told them to replace them. I have 2 Cayennes and I am thankful to have found a technician who teaches you about your vehicle while he's working on it. Al, Aaron, and Doug, you all are the best! As an international flight attendant, my wife is very dependent on her car and keeping it in top working order. After returning from a very long all-night Santiago trip, the battery warning light was on when she started her car.. and unfortunately i was out of town. YIKES... major 911! her GLC300 takes a special/unique battery which i was able to eventually locate but the installation is complicated, which eliminates most places in the area.
