Took my car to get inspected. It passed but they suggested $1100 worth of work on it. I was initially skeptical but went I went to pick up my car they handed me a paper with all the suggestions itemized out for parts and labor. I was able to compare their pricing to averages on the internet and they are in the bottom of average pricing for everything. Took my car back to get all the work done and so far so good.
So sad to see the quality of service go downhill at this service center over the last several years. After regular oil changes here I had to have my car's oil pan replaced by the car dealer (very expensive - $1,600.) because the plug threads were stripped out on the pan. Firestone said it wasn't their fault, but very knowledgeable people I spoke with said it likely happened as a result of the oil plug being cross threaded or over-tightened by the Firestone technician. I gave Firestone the benefit of the doubt however, and later took my car in to them because the engine was running choppy. They did a diagnostic ($90.) and told me the engine was blown. Before scrapping my car at the junkyard, I decided to take it to the dealer for a second opinion. As it turned out, my car only needed new spark plugs, which the dealer replaced, and now it runs like new again. I was a long time customer and Firestone has lost my business for good. I want to speak of the attitude and behavior of the manager of this location. I called this location after looking them up online and asked numerous questions about an oil change for my van. After a in-depth yet cordial conversation with the employee, I brought my van to the store. When I arrived, the manager gave me a completely different (and higher) price for the oil change. Things went south quickly. He began to get loud and arrogant, and told me I could take my business elsewhere. After explaining my conversation with the employee to him, he started telling me how the employee gave misinformation and that it was not his fault that happened. After expressing that I brought my van here only after getting all this information ahead of time, the manager finally relented and decided to do the work for the price quoted. At the same time acting as a victim and that did not bode well with me. Firestone needs to adequately train their employess, especially managers, on proper etiquette t
