Du Fresne's Auto Service

Finally I found the right mechanic shop I will use as long as I live in this area. They are very knowledgeable and do the business honest. I replaced engine coolant in other mechanic shop which is close to my work place. Unfortunately right after I pick up my vehicle the engine overheated after 10~15 min driving. I get diagnosis from the manufacturer dealership, and they recommend to replace water pump, radiator, and thermostat which will cost more than $3000. I gave the diagnosis report to Du Fresne's Auto Service. Du Fresne's Auto Service did its own diagnosis and find the real culprit. The culprit was air pocket inside radiator and thermostat . The final cost including the testing for diagnosis was less than $600. I am very happy to find trustworthy auto shop! Unfortunately it is hard to find auto shop that does the business in right way these days.

I was a loyal customer at Du Fresnes for close to 3 years. After many services and thousands of dollars spent at this shop, I had a recent experience that left me feeling completely shocked and disrespected. The shop performed a faulty install of my front wheel bearing that caused me to be broken down on the side on the I-5 during rush hour. After getting towed back to their shop and being assured that I’d be reimbursed for the expenses, the office manager, Nancy, refused to reimburse my full towing charge. To top it off she was extremely rude and condescending in her handling of the situation. It’s disappointing to receive this treatment after the support and loyalty I’ve shown. I will not be returning to a business that doesn’t respect their customer, ESPECIALLY when it was their error! Note: I attempted to resolve this matter privately with the shop, however no one responded to my emails.

Took my car in because of a slow start, left with no solution and charged $160 for that. Of course, I understand labor costs money, but Preston told me on the phone his guys worked on my car for one hour in total. $160/hour with no solution. Also- lied in the report, my engine is still not starting normally. Service: General repairs & maintenance
