Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care

My car had a transmission issue and I was 1.5 hours from home. I went to Autozone and they ran the code, and called Cottman Transmission and sent Jodi over to help me. Jodi helped me immensely. He explained everything that was going on with my car in detail and never tried to sell me anything or get me to go to his shop directly- he just helped me like a person. He didn’t HAVE to come over to Autozone, where I was parked, but he did and was MORE than helpful. He clearly cares about PEOPLE and not just money. Excellent experience. I damaged the transmission in my pickup truck pushing too hard while towing a travel trailer. Thought I would need to replace it. Jody & team diagnosed the problem and replaced a broken electrical part to fix it. Saved me thousands of dollars. They also gave me good advice how to avoid repeating my towing mistake. My car essentially died 2 miles from Cottman. Thankfully I made it to their shop. My transfer case melted down on the road and I had no idea what was going on. The people at Cottman immediately identified the problem and gave me an overview of what was wrong. I expected the repair to take 3-4 weeks because parts had to be ordered. They called me 1 week later and told me to come pick up the car. Everything has been great ever since and the car is running perfectly fine. Having car problems is one of the most stressful things to experience for most people. But the people at Cottman made this as painless as possible and I can honestly say this was the smoothest process I’ve ever had when it comes to getting significant car repairs. This may be the 2nd or 3rd time in my life I’ve ever felt compelled to leave a review. 5 stars. Well deserved.
