AMC imports specialist and state inspections

Before doing business with AMC, I would ride by because I live in the vicinity and I noticed that I’ve never seen the same car over there twice, never seen an irate customer and he and his son has never had a yard full at the end of their workday. Those men put the WORK in WORK. Not only are they professional but they are dedicated, honest and reasonable. I came out $160 cheaper than I would have paid anywhere else and needless to say when he called to tell me that my part would be there(he had to order my air flow sensor) by a certain time, the car was actually fixed by that time. Well i would not suggest this place. Although thier quotes are low, I seriously question thier ability to finish a job professionally regardless of time. They did not complete a job I requested, opting to restore the vehicle to prior state half way through the install in the middle of the night. Also a boy with 2 months car experience was attempting the job without supervision until i showed up. They struggle with simple jobs like installing valve cover gaskets. One thier customers had a gasket installed and it started leaking. That guys has been waiting on his car for two days. They do work weekends... but it's best you wait for a qualified professional to look at your install or repair.

I would have given them 1 star, but Heather was pleasant to deal with so I added a star. I went in with high hopes based off reviews and our initial interaction, but things quickly went downhill. First, I had to wait in their lobby for over an hour until they agreed to charge me my quoted price for initial repair (mechanics wanted an extra $200). Leaving the lot, I realized that a new warning light was illuminated. I brought it back in and we made plans for them to rectify the issue the following week. When I called back in to find a time to drop it off, I was told that they didn't order the parts as planned because they did not think they caused the issue (spoiler alert: they did). Eventually, they agreed to fix it. This led to the second interaction I had with them, where they once again tried to overcharge me when it came time to settle up.
