Lloyds was great. A sign of a good mechanic is when they choose not to do a service. Lloyd’s did not just do an alignment and have me move on they inspected my car and pointed out other suspension issues that were causing my problem. I wanted to fix the suspension myself and they didn’t charge me for the inspection and just asked that I come back for an alignment when I was done. I have been bringing my car to Lloyd’s for about 3 years. My brother has been taking his car for 6. Like most people, I work on the assumption that mechanics will try to rip you off. I have had the exact opposite experience at Lloyd’s. The pricing has always been fair and they are incredibly transparent about what your car actually needs. A few months ago, I took my car over and asked about ordering new tires. Instead of ringing me up, a tech came out and looked at my existing tires. He told me I had a few thousand miles left and to come back in a month or so. My car was recently in for an inspection and oil change, and I legitimately thought they had forgotten to ring up my whole total when they said the final price. If you are looking for a fair mechanic in Chapel Hill, I highly recommend Lloyd’s!
