For proximity and convenience purposes we went first to the Subaru dealer to fix an ac and a shimmeying problem. After a $530 diagnostic charge, we were told the ac compressor was "on the verge" of going; total bill would be $3200. Very polite, very glib. On to Seehra, where necessary repairs were made with NO diagnostic charge, for $980 excluding compressor replacement as it was totally and fully functioning. Lesson learned: if you don't mind paying many hundreds needlessly and fraudulently, you can risk opting for the spit and polish of your dealer .
