These guys are scam artists. Beware. They quoted me for a $2500+ repair on tires, brakes, and rotors. I got a second opinion and still had 60% left on my brake pads, and 50% left on my tires before the tread got to be too low. I stopped going to Honest-1. They work on commission so they are just trying to replace things that don’t need to be replaced to make money off of people who don’t know better. They are not honest- that’s for sure! After a simple oil change, they forgot to put the under barrier back in my car, so on the highway, my skid plate fell down and scraped the road the whole way back to the shop. Negligent and very dangerous. If you go here, say no to everything they suggest unless you know for a fact that it has to be repaired. Or, find a shop with some integrity. Honest-1 Auto on Lyndale lost my car, and offered no apology or monetary compensation for the trouble. I dropped my vehicle off with them 10/25/22 for a check engine light concern. They scanned my car, identified the issue and started repairs a few days later. Upon receiving my final invoice, 11/01/2022, I requested to pick up the vehicle 11/04/2022 (my pay day.) The mechanic on my case, Marc, said that would be no problem. On the fourth, I arrived to pick up my vehicle, Marc greeted me and ran my card for over $700 in services and then handed me my keys. I asked where the car had been parked, and they gestured to the front of the lot. I took a lap around their parking lot and returned rather confused. I watched several mechanics have a conversation and partake in the “search” for my car. Marc returned and told me my car was gone, and that they didn’t know what happened to it. Luck was on my side today - The guy who towed my car accidentally brought it to the Uptown location instead of Roseville. Context: I needed 2 new tires and an oil change. Sean at the Roseville location tried to sell me 4 new tires, an alignment, as well as numerous other recommended fixes for around $2500. Marc at the Uptown location said I only needed 2 new tires, that an alignment was unnecessary, and also didn't see any reason to take care of the other "recommended fixes". I practically got a $2000 discount... Conclusion: Perhaps the Uptown location is actually honest. Thank you Marc!
