This review is for OHV Motors that has merged with World Auto Repair in 2020: SHORT VERSION: extremely honest and highly skilled. LONG VERSION: I came across OHV Motors a couple of years ago when I decided to stop servicing my cars at dealerships and to find a local shop instead. I was skeptical at first, but great customer reviews made me curious, so I decided to give OHV Motors a try with small repairs here and there. So far, so good. Then I went to a dealer again to perform repairs for a manufacturer recall on my son's Subaru Impreza, and they told me that the head gasket was leaking badly and required $2,600 worth of repairs. I took the car to OHV Motors to get a competing quote, and to my surprise, I was told that the repairs were not needed - there was no gasket leak. They are THE FIRST auto shop in my life to not take advantage of a situation like this. Extremely honest! I have an older car, a 2004 Grand Prix, that has low miles and I get it fixed when it has issues. The brake line dropped when I was driving on the highway, but luckily I was able to get to safety. I had it towed to the shop and told them what I knew. They diagnosed my car with a broken brake line and said I needed new routers and brake pads in the front. The estimated and final cost for the work was $950 dollars, with a breakdown for $465 for labor, rotors, and new front brake pads and the rest for the brake line. They said that my other brake lines were rusted and could go at anytime, but claimed I didn't need them changed at this time. The cost for the brake pads and rotor replacement was $200 more then what I had done 2 years ago for my rear pads and rotors. Also, they charged $400 for labor on the single brake line replacement alone with no breakdown on how long it took. From how long they labored on the vehicle in a single afternoon, a skilled mechanic should have taken only 1 to
Dismissive if you're a female trying to set up an appointment. Patronized me and rushed me off the phone because they were trying to close and werent taking my business seriously. They had an hour til close. "Why don't you call back when you're sure you've thought about this, im trying to close up" is what was said to me. Made an appt with TGK instead with no sparky comments made
