Midas

PLEASE READ: I went to Midas for an oil change recently and a clicking sound coming from under the hood. They quoted me $1400 for a new power steering system, valve gasket, 2 new tires, and an alignment. I was also told I needed rear shocks but they had to order the part from elsewhere and give me an additional quote. I was looking at around $2000 of work. Wanting a second opinion, I asked around and took my car to a family members mechanic they have been going to for years. It turns out there was nothing wrong with the power steering; in fact they overflowed it with fluid. Come to find out from the previous owners that the power steering pump had been replaced in 2019. The valve gasket was also fine and looked like it had oil spilled on it. (MIDAS told me it was leaking) The tires were fine and just needed to be rotated. Created appointment online. They confirmed a little later. Dropped off my car in the morning for break check and oil change. Was done before lunch. They had the paper floor mat down so my car was clean to pick up. Really easy. 10/10 recommend
