I want to thank Jimmy and the rest of the family for taking such good care of my RV. Anybody who’s ever gone looking for service knows how hard it is to even find a shop to do the work and when you do, they tell you that your work will take weeks, maybe months to get done. And everything is overpriced. Not the case with the team at Smitty’s. I brought the RV down for him to estimate the repair and he squeezed me in the next day. He and his son worked after everyone had left to get my job done and when they finished, I was honestly shocked, in a good way, by the price. After reading reviews, being close to home, I was excited to do biz w/Smitty’s. I called the week before my vacation, described my transmission problem to Jimmy. He told me it was likely the transmission needed replaced which confirmed my thoughts. He said it was a common repair for Chevy trucks. He said to bring it in the following Friday which I did. An elderly man helped me when I arrived as Jimmy was not available and the old man took me to talk to a much younger mechanic who told me would drive it this afternoon, call me this PM or Monday, When Monday came to a close I called. Jimmy answered and got very aggressive, told me they were busy and would call tomorrow.He did not. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday came and went with out any calls. I returned to their place of business Friday late afternoon and my truck was in the same spot I left it covered in a heavy coating of dust. I went in and simply ask for my keys. Grandpa came out and yelled; I never promised it would be done today.
