Dave has always been great. We have taken several different vehicles to him over the years and never had an issue. He is always honest and fair. Would highly recommend him.

As a younger female with minimal vehicle knowledge, going to any mechanic has always been daunting... but thankfully not at Dave's! Dave is the most honest, straight forward, respectful, knowledgeable, and kind-hearted mechanic I've ever met. I live in downtown Chicago and have dealt with price gouging, intentional misdiagnosing, and bad repairs from a variety of downtown auto shops. However I work in Skokie, so I figured I'd give Dave's Automotive a try. Despite being busy, Dave went out of his way to fix my rear window hinge when I originally just came in for a fuel inlet inspection. He takes his time to fully explain any issue, the reasoning behind his advice, and he thoroughly answers all of my questions! I've been to Dave's twice now and vow only to return to him for future issues. Seriously, a 45 minute drive is worth it to get an inspection/oil change/repair from Dave. I worked in a garage for six years. Now, without proper tools, I often need to take my car in like everyone else. I just tried Dave this past week, even though I've known about him for years, as I just moved back into the area. Let's put it this way, he's my guy going forward. He'll only fix what needs fixing, won't charge you for unneeded work and his work is top notch. I definitely recommend him. He knows his stuff and is trustworthy. Period. I own a 2010 Lexus RX350...and he knows my car better than I do!
