Mastertech – Auto Repair Shop

Good place and prices if you have 1 to 3 weeks to wait for repairs. I use this shop cause I have multiple vehicles, so I have the luxury of waiting on them. If you need your vehicle asap then I would suggest another shop. My dad's truck drive axle broke on the Elgin expressway and it just needed new u joints and maybe a new drive shaft. This type of job should be an hour or so to repair. Dropped off on Sunday and had to get another tow truck the following Saturday to take to the another shop that my dad uses and they fixed it in 2 hours due to waiting for parts. My dad called them every day and the lady kept saying that they had a shortage of workers and the next day they would put it in the bay to check out but it's always been a one man mechanic shop for years, so that excuse is getting old. They kept saying they would call him to give update but they never did! I feel bad cause I recommended this shop and my dad lost a week of landscaping business cause of this shop. The reason for

Ive been going there for oil changes but after somtime noticed that they installed a wrong oil filter in my car that is twice as small as it should be. Probably mounted anything they had in stock. My car has a turbo and engine oil is used to cool / lubricate the turbo. This is a longevity of the engine and turbo issue. Never went back there again.
