I would definitely go to this place if you need auto repairs. No overcharging, they go over everything with you, so you know what to expect, and follow up with any updates.
I was sent to Oak Park & North Auto by another shop believing I needed a repair that would cost over $2500. Howard, the owner, called after giving my car a much needed check, assured me that I did not need that repair, and fixed a few belts and things that I knew were screechy. Everything he did was completely reasonable for a 12+ year old car. This is an shop run by honest people who do solid work. Definitely no frills, but I don't need to pay $200 extra dollars for a fancy waiting area with stale pastries and fancy instant coffee. I'd give the shop more stars if I could!
The prices here are reasonable. They are not pushy unlike some dealership experiences I've had. They take care of my car issues and if ever the problem is not resolved, they will fit me in to the schedule and reevaluate the problem without charging me again for the diagnostics. Good people and trustworthy
