My car "died" on me September 17th while I was out of town. Had to have it towed home. In between that date and the time I actually had my car fixed, it was looked at by three different repair shops. Different prices and findings but all basically the same. I was torn on what to do. I finally Googled to see who specializes in what I needed done to my car. I came across logan Square auto Repair and I decided to try them. I spoke to Nick and he explained what would happen after he took a look at my car. I had it towed to them. He checked it out and told me what he saw. It was a little more than I expected to pay but I went with it and I'm glad I did. He kept me informed on everything they were/would be doing - with my approval of course. I've been driving my car now for 3 weeks and it's running fine! Plus, the work is guaranteed for two years! I really wanted to support a local business and chose Logan square auto based on the favorable reviews especially from women. I called Tuesday and made an appointment for 10am Thursday, the person was very friendly and I was excited I made a good choice. Thursday comes, I drop off my car and I’m told to give them a couple hours and they would call me when it’s ready. At 1:30 I called to check on the status since it’s now been almost 4 hours. I’m told everyone is at lunch and my car is next, I think ok that’s a bit annoying since I had an appointment but whatever. The day goes by, shop closes at 6 and I don’t hear from them. The next morning still no word from them. I decided to go to the shop and take my car even if they haven’t done the job, at this point I just want my car back. When I get there there is no acknowledgement of the oil change taking 22 hours longer than the original quote, they just give me the bill.
