We have been using Pep Boys since NTB was sold. We didn’t like the service we received with Mavis. Doug and his team at the Alpharetta store exceeded all my expectations today. This is a store that I heard him tell customers honest answers about their car problems while I waited for my service. They only sell you what you need. They aren’t trying to earn a commission on a sale. It is rare to find that nowadays. They are open on Saturday and Sunday, too. A lot of local garages have been cutting their hours. I worked closely with the service managers John and Doug. I had a Suzuki XL7 with a check engine light on. The diagnostic showed a bad catalytic converter and o2 sensor. Both were repaired yet the check engine light came back on showing the same problems. They replaced both again and yet the same issue. These guys called in a specialist to look at the truck and we leaned the computer went bad as well. Since Suzuki is no longer selling this vehicle they were unable to replace the computer system. All and all this was an unfortunate experience but this entire team worked with with me for almost 3 weeks to fix this vehicle. Since it would not pass emissions, Doug told me about getting an emissions waiver (I never knew that was an option). I got the waiver and I'm now back on the road.
