I recently took my car to Chase Automotive. The staff was extremely friendly and the technicians were very knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable leaving my car at Chase Automotive. I was updated throughout the day on the progress of my car's repairs. I also received a personal phone call as to what was done and what would be needed in the future. After going there since 2011 with the old owner and emissions techs, GREAT GUYS, New owner Chase failed my diesel emissions. Said there was a new weld on my catalytic converter. That was a rusted old weld i told them. Never touched the exchaust since 2010. Sent me to DETC a state technical emissions shop way in Denver which wasted my time to make appt and go there.. They said the catalytic was made that way so you can weld on the catalytic. I have a 5" pipe that goes over the 3.5 stock cat pipe which touches the cat. Thats the only place you can weld on and it's LEGAL. Chase is a great place but the emissions tech needs to follow up on emissions dos and donts on catalytic converters.. Just a waste of my time to get a evaluation report that I need now to take to any place I get diesel inspected.
