Freddie and Mike are heroes in my opinion. I brought my elderly parents’ 2008 Mini Cooper in for a diagnostic at Freddie’s shop. The morning of the appointment, I explained to Mike and Freddie that my parents complained that the power was “cutting out” whenever they tried to accelerate. Originally, when I attempted to diagnose the problem myself, I noticed smoke coming from the dipstick reservoir, indicating blow-by. Uh-oh. That means the piston rings are shot and the car is going to require many thousands of dollars for an engine rebuild. I braced myself for the horrible news after Freddie took a look. Freddie’s auto service kept her car for an unnecessary length of time, we are talking days and charged her so much that it would have been cheaper for her to have purchased another car plus she had trouble with it after she drove it home, she took it back in and Freddie saw what was wrong, it was a hose that had not been attached. He reached under the hood and fixed it and charged her 30$ to fix a mistake that he made. It’s mechanics like him that gives all the rest a bad reputation in other words Freddie saw her coming!
