Virgil's Auto Body & Paint

My first experience with Virgil's was not pleasant. I needed an older car repainted . No big deal but they told me that to do that it would cost over $3,000. Too much for me and they recommended Maaco. The second was a repair for an accident. They failed to follow-up after the initial vehicle inspection. Regardless, AAA recommended them and I brought my vehicle there. They did a fantastic job. In other words, it was a mixed bag depending on your needs.

Came here hoping to get an estimate on some damage on my car. 2 people highly recommended this shop, I unfortunately was disappointed. The woman ahead of me was able to get an estimate on her car. For me I couldn't. I waited for 10 minutes while Jim worked on an estimate. Then instead of finishing it he told me that it would be around the pricing my dealership had told me. I felt this was lazy and poor customer service. Of course this experience led me to another shop that I'm looking forward to working with: Newcastle motors auto body in Simi.

I went to the shop 15 mins before it closes and I had assistance from Joe right away. Joe was so helpful and friendly, he did not even hesitate to get me to come back another day when it's July 4th tomorrow. He buffed the marks on my car's bumper and made it look brand new within 5 mins! Staff is friendly and nice! Definitely my go-to auto shop now!
