J & R Transmissions

I believe most of the positive reviews for this shop are fake. Reviews talk about the shops contributing to the community. There is no evidence that they are involved in the community what so ever. They claim all of the bad reviews they received are fake and from other shops. They claimed they diagnosed my shifting problems and that I needed a new Transmission. When the truck still had the same problem they kept it for over a month and claimed they had to borrow a tool from another shop.

I had a 4L60E pulled, remanufactured to factory specs, and installed back into my Chevy Astro 4x4 in 26 hours after I dropped it off at J&R. The price I paid for the job was astounding, and I actually had to have him repeat himself because it was so much lower than what I was expecting. Every crate transmission I had been quoted on before talking to James was barely less than the price of the whole job at J&R, pulled, reman'd, installed, and they all had 20-30 day lead times before shipping which would have been several hundred dollars on top of the sale price. The quoted sale prices also did not include gaskets or fluid or hardware or anything, plus the core charges were $250-400 at each vendor and I'd have had to pay to ship it back to get the core charge back. On top of it all, I'd have had to do all the work myself. These guys saved me literally hundreds and hundreds of dollars plus hours of blood, sweat and tears from doing the job myself. Family owned business. They are very friendly and helpful. James will help out anyone he can and goes above and beyond to help someone in need and the community!! I have a 2011 Honda Pilot and if there is an issue with the transmission this is the place I would trust to care for it. I know they would be friendly, honest, and reasonable.
