I used to have my car serviced here in the 90s. I moved out of town in 2000. Just got back early this year and was happy to see that this shop is still there-- same owner-- same great service. I've always felt that I was treated fairly in there. And as a woman, sometimes you aren't. But here, the owner is honest and reliable and fair. Great experience, will definitely go back! Rick explained everything and took time when I was late, to go over what was immediately needed and what to keep an eye on. Tried JT Auto before and was told to immediately get new tires; Rick didn't try to sell me on things I didn't need, and staff was friendly and helpful on the phone. Scheduled an appointment for an oil change & transmission fluid service for my Honda Accord on a Friday which went fine (despite the tech getting transmission fluid all over my lower radiator hose). But then the problems begin - The invoice was for ~$230 which I am fine with, but James (front desk) undercharged me and I was only billed for ~$30. I didn't notice right away until I checked my credit card app, and being someone that has integrity and respects the auto tech field, I went out of my way to call the shop the following Monday regarding the undercharge. The undercharge was resolved right then and there, but on the same phone call I wanted to inquire about getting my VCM Spool Valve replaced, valve lash adjusted (if needed), and a valve cover gasket replacement for both banks. James said he'll need some time to get that quote together and call me back, since it was close to closing time when the call occurred.
