I had traveled from Phoenix to Tucson and my car did not sound well! I couldn’t get my car into a shop on a Friday before heading home on Sunday. Hammett’s was open on Saturday and worked me in! They conducted a FREE inspection AND took care of the issue (tire pressure) at no additional charge! They were so accommodating and kind. We will do ALL of our Tucson auto repair business at Hammett’s from here on out and refer everyone we can to them. You will be in great hands!

I came here on recommendation from a friend in January. My little Corolla was riding rough. Needed new motor mounts and rear struts. Fair estimate. Got it done! Brought my car back about a month later, for RATTLE AT IDLE. They said that my control arm needed replaced. (How do you get that from rattle at idle?!) my control arm DID need replaced- I asked to see the parts before leaving the shop. But my car was NOT balanced after the installation- my steering wheel was at a 45 degree angle leaving the shop. And the rattle at idle was my ALTERNATOR- ended up ordering and installing it myself. I’m disappointed, I feel swindled. I even asked for a once over on my car and to point out everything that needs done. I know my car is old and needs some maintenance. But if it weren’t for the fact that I got a second opinion elsewhere, this shop would’ve left me stranded in the middle of the road! The mechanic from the second shop rode passenger as I drove not even half a block down “wtf is going on

The only people who have bad experiences here are the ones who are truly missing out. They are honest and open to helping. Now if you tell them that you know better, they will reject helping you and I side with that 100%. Great people and I couldn't ask for a better mechanic as they have saved me 1000s of dollars unlike quick shops such as brake max, jiffy, lube midas, (just to name a few).
