I chose to bring my car to CMARR because of all the good reviews it has. However, now that I've had a chance to deal with them, I have no idea why there are so many good reviews. The guy tried to sell me an expensive synthetic oil change for my pretty old (2005) absolutely regular car. He said they don't have any regular oil. When I was about to cancel the oil change, he quickly added that he can go buy some, which was fine with me. Then, I asked him to look at the noise my rear suspension makes, he concluded that my struts need to be replaced. It would cost me $800 (which is a somewhat fair price), but I didn't want to spend this much money at that time on the car I might sell soon, so I said no. However, he still charged me ~$50 for "diagnostics" (which, I assume, involved just looking/pushing on my car's back as the literally hasn't unscrewed a single bolt). With that, I think it's fair to conclude that this fine establishment's main priority is getting money out of the customer rat

Everything that is great about indie mechanics. They are broadly knowledgeable, prompt and thorough in their service, and friendly to boot. CMARR strikes the right balance in that they will repair only what is needed, but still use high quality parts that last. Have had my vehicle serviced here for years with a variety of different jobs, and would highly recommend!
