I've known the shop owner Evan Meyerreicks since the B&B Machine days where he worked as an apprentice when he was a teenager. Now the owner of the re-branded Classic Motors and Machine (formerly MDR Performance Engines, formerly B&B Machine) I can attest to the level of dedication that Evan and the entire team give to their work. I have never met anyone who was as passionate about engine building and machine work as Evan and his staff. As a long time mechanic and manager of several local repair shops, I have a deep understanding of the auto industry, and there is no shop I trust more than Classic Motors with my automotive needs. From engine builds and rebuilds to classic car restoration and everything in-between, I know from professional experience there is no better choice in town. Guys were very nice and helpful. Will be bring my honda head there when I do that car. Update: took my van's lower intake manifold to them to get it resurfaced, they did an amazing job! The surface was so smooth I can see myself in the finished surface. I was burned by another place but these guys brought my faith back in machine shops!
I trailered my '70 El Camino here to have some maintenance taken care of: carburetor tuning, brake drum replacement, and address a cooling issue that prevent the car from being drivable. I worked with Evan via email and phone to detail what I wanted done, very easy. I met with Evan when I dropped off the car and confirmed what I needed done. After two days, I got a call and the car was ready - they worked quickly! I was then able to drive the car back home, ~50 miles, without any issue. The experience of working with Evan was great, as well as the communication. I thought the work was quality and the prices fair.
