Took my Ford Diesel for an oil change and fuel filters top and bottom. I have done this job myself so I know the filters take about 10 minutes to change if your slow and are really easy. They cost about $50 on amazon and $90-100 from the dealer. I didn't ask the price, my bad. I really did not expect to pay over $600. I checked later and this was three times the amount the ford dealership would charge. I fought in the store and asked for a managers phone number. Later to their credit they refunded enough of the money so it would equal the dealership fee. But only because I argued. Please if you want to pay dealership fees, just go to a dealership. What makes me sad is how many people I watched go to pay their bill and were shocked at the price but accepted it. Honestly if I did not know what this should cost I probably would have also.
Took car in to get an alignment. '20 MDX. Great customer service, although they were late for the quoted appointment time. No big deal, because they were very nice and informed me of the wait, I also understand businesses are understaffed these days. HOWEVER... make the schedule accordingly. Don't make the excuse that you are understaffed if you are responsible for the scheduling of services. If it was a walk in, this would obviously be different. Secondly. I brought it in for the alignment because it was pulling to the right slightly. I needed this done for a drive out of town the next day. They finished and the print out said rear camber had no adjustment. It was in the red. They informed me that no parts were damaged and so I was just hopeful that they might have test drove it to verify alignment. Upon driving it, the alignment was not even done, at least correctly. It had the same issue except now the steering wheel was off-center. We got back from our trip and I called them to add
I bought my tires at Burt Brothers Tire and so I have needed to return to them to rotate my tire. Today when I did so, for the first time since getting my new tires, I set up an appointment for 2:30. I showed up at the appointed time and asked to have my tires rotated. After waiting for 30 minutes, I went out to the parking lot to see that my car had not moved. Then I finally noticed a service rep going to my car. After waiting for a few minutes, I noticed that he got in my car, but did not proceed to the service bay. He went the other direction. Next thing I notice, after about another 15-20 minutes or waiting is that my care is up on the service rack and the service guys are pouring over my car trying to find something wrong with it. Next thing I know the front desk person tells me that they've discovered that my rear brake pads are low. I already knew that. Then they told me that the reason it was taking so long was that I asked to have the tires balanced, which I did not do. After
