Ras's charges $350.00 per axle for pads and rotors. This is on a 2002 dodge grand caravan. This is far too expensive and you as a customer are being taken advantage of at this price. Across the street you can get them done for $169.99 an axle. I was an ASE certified brake tech for 5 years and can tell you it isn't an honorable price. A friend took her car into Ras's for a brake job and I wish she would have asked me first as I would have helped her save over $200.00 today. I could have done the brakes myself for under $100.00 in about an hour in my driveway. The brake job they did probably took them 20-30 minutes in the shop and less than $80.00 in parts. He did knock off $100 for me brining this up and even tried to compare his shop to Les Schwabb pricing, which overcharges and also includes new calipers in their pricing. Very dishonorable and has lost our families business for the move.

I went in for what I thought was the replacement of a timing chain tensioner that I thought was causing an oil leak. They cleaned my PCV valve instead and said they don’t think I need to replace that part. Sure enough I stop loosing oil and it only costed $50. They could have easily charged more and replaced the tensioner which would have been $150+. The team at Ras's always helps me quickly, and treats me well. I do a lot of my own work, and they never seem to mind giving me advice or fixing my mistakes. They also do a great job of explaining what went wrong and how much it will cost to repair.
