I have taken my truck to Gillett twice now and have walked away beyond pleased each time. Last year check engine light and just a glow plug and the cheapest vehicle repair I have ever had. This time it was pricey because some bigger repairs were required, but as I did some research completely reasonable. When I went to pick up my truck the check engine light turned in when I started it up. They were surprised because they had driven it a lot and even started it that morning and verified all was good. They immediately came out and pulled the codes. Then they verified those codes were not the same ones they fixed the day before. The quickly gave me a recommendation and said if I had some more time they would immediately do some more tests to see if another small repair was required or not. They resolved that issue with another small (less than $50) part and sent me on my way. My truck broke down yesterday, Sunday of course (09/24/2023) 100 miles from home. I realized that Gillett was less than 3 miles from me. I've always heard good things about them from friends. I had my truck towed to Gillett and Dropped the keys in the key drop. I called this morning to let them know what was going on. They were very pleasant and said that they would squeeze it into their schedule when they could. I know that they are a busy shop, so I totally understand not being able to get right to it. I will update this after the job is completed.

If my 2006 GMC diesel truck with 241,000 miles hauling 6 horses to WYO from TX had to blow up on I-80 East at the top of Parley’s Summit… then I’m glad it ended up at Gillette Diesel. After blown head gaskets and 8 injectors later, she’s out of the shop and back to work running better than she has in two years. Calm, centered Bill is customer service at its best!!! I must have called him twice a day for two weeks. Every single time, he patiently listened and answered my questions and offered several options. Should I scrap the truck? Should I repair it? Should I buy a new motor? Should I replace the 4 bad injectors or do all 8? Are you sure it’s the injectors or could it be just the wiring? Is the Turbo good? Am I going to have any issues that are evident for hauling in the future ? ETC ETC ETC. When I picked up my truck, Bill had every single thing done on my list and the bill was exactly the amount he quoted me. As a woman, I have rarely experienced this degree of customer serv
